NGD American original JAZZMASTER
Ok, the NGD was on Tuesday, but I wanted to post because I’m happy with it. I bought the ocean turquoise version from Eddies guitars for 15% off. Anyway, it really seems like a quality build. I love the color, and it plays and sounds awesome. I actually can’t stop thinking about it and have come home for lunch several times this week to play and look at it. I kinda feel like I know I’m done searching. I really like the aesthetics and I’m glad there is no vintage tint on the neck.
I was curious if anyone knows if the pickguard is the same as on a 62 or 65 reissue? I want to buy a spitfire for it and he doesn’t have the American original model listed on his website.

I believe that all American JM series with a standard fender bridge use the same pickguard. The exception being the American Pro for obvious reasons.

Re: NGD American original JAZZMASTER
Congrats on the purchase.
Oh, and the pickguard from my 62 AVRI will fit on my AO 100% perfectly, just so you know.
My AO is without question the best Jazzmaster I have ever owned, and I own/have owned a stupid number of them.
Just perfection... finally.

Great, thanks for the info. I want to get a spitfire for it. I sold a guitar and a had a few hundred in savings to make the move. I got serious about it after seeing your white American original for sale/trade. And read your glowing reviews.

Played one in nyc- frets are amazing. Color is much more green than shows up in photos. Beautiful guitar!

Thanks, it is greener in person. The pics make it almost look like lake placid blue. Mine is still more blue than green, depending on the light. I’m really liking it.

Hey congrats my friend!!! I have the same model as you and I feel the same way...I’m absolutely in LOVE with it! Had it for about 5 months now and I still can’t stop looking at it and I am always tempted to pick it up...even when I’m in a rush!
Best Jazzmaster I’ve personally ever played...definitely top quality guitar.
Enjoy that beauty!

Re: NGD American original JAZZMASTER
I’ve had four Jazzmasters and this is the best so far. All of mine were American vintage of some sort. No other Jazzmaster I’ve had played as well out of the box as this one. I wouldn’t change a thing about it, other than I might get a mastery or staytrem bridge. I’m off guitar mania for a while. My life has been constantly perusing guitar shops locally or online obsessively, even after getting a new guitar. I have hardly looked since I ordered this. It wasn’t a conscience decision to stop, I just knew....

I know how you feel. Just snagged a FMS TS JM and the GAS is gone. Fender is doing it right.

Re: NGD American original JAZZMASTER
Congrats, that is a beautiful JM!
I've been seriously considering buying an AO for the last couple of weeks, but between not being able to decide on the color (I love sb JM's, they are my spirit animal but daaaaamn that ot looks stunning) & parting with $2k I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Hearing from you guys that Fender really nailed it is reassuring.
Anyway, you have an awesome new instrument there pocaloc & some Spitfire tort is going to put that bad boy over the top. You made a wise purchase!
