I saw it yesterday!

I just finished two giant projects for work and can look up now.

I am excited to get back to this thread!

Make: Clifton
Model: Cleveland
Price: $1,500
Body Material: Black Walnut & Spalted Hackberry (a bit pretentious, right?)
Scale: 25.5"
Tremolo: No. Hipshot fixed bridge
Is the lower waist anywhere near the bridge: Eh... no.
Good / Ridiculous / Lame: Just a little bit lame.

This take on the Jazzmaster with a bit of influences from the Mustang has upper and lower boughts that leave something to be desired. The are almost offensively apologetic for existing.

The pickups are too close together, with the bridge pickup too far from the bridge, right?

That said, I'm using it as my first post back after a long break because the make is my name.

I drank a spalted hackberry kombucha while I read that post.

The lesser known positions of two pickup guitars: neck-middle and middle-bridge. :derp:

Make: Forshage
Model: Galaxy
Price: $2,599.99
Body Material: Alder
Scale: 25.34” (??)
Tremolo: Typically a Strat-style tremolo with Telecaster barrel saddles.
Is the lower waist anywhere near the bridge: No. It's only moderately better than a non-offset.
Good / Ridiculous / Lame: Well, that depends...

This boutique dealer brings us a guitar that looks either really good, or like a factory reject from First Act, depending on nothing more than the pickups used. The Telecaster bridge position pickup version is WAF (wonky as fuck, thank you) while humbucker or gold foil versions look, in my opinion, fantastic.

THIS IS NOT AN OFFSET

Make: Gletty Guitars
Model: StoneMaster
Price: $2,311.34 (it is in Germany)
Body Material: Alder
Scale: Unknown
Tremolo: No. Chopped Telecaster type bridge.
Is the lower waist anywhere near the bridge: It is!
Good / Ridiculous / Lame: This offset inspired guitar is not an offset itself. But I kind of like it. The lower half of the guitar is pretty much just a Jazzmaster. The upper half pulls back the top horn and the waist, making it not an offset.

Whoa that's trippy. It looks like a Jazzmaster after you stole his nose.

Not very imaginative, yet I’m not offended by it.

Sign me up, actually! I have a feeling I'd prefer these positions.

I don't think the bridge pickup placement is off. the low e side of the pickup being closer to the bridge interests me. i played a dick dale strat setup that way and got a heftier twang off the low e and more mellow high string sounds.

shub makes some great looking instruments. would love to play one.

It makes me think that someone who liked both Jazzmasters and SG's, decided to make a hybrid of the two. I like it. It would look cool with beveled edges like an SG too (though maybe it does and it's just hard to see).
