The thread Sirpens referred to is missing some of the critical pictorial elements required to define the term of the discussion
Here is on of the pictures - and it's got Ferbis the offset dog in it
Thank you. This is indeed very important. And very serious.
Side note: I will goddam shut this thread down if it turns into a "What is an offset guitar" thread! Go do that shit somewhere else. haha
Hi!,Yes, my fault. I should have used a different thread to ask the question. Apologies.
And, THANKS a lot for the detail explanation. It is all clear now (including the offset spaniel)
. Thank you guys, and apologies once again.
Isaac

Make: Kino
Model: jam
Price: $2,944.26
Body Material: African Mahogany
Scale: 25.5"
Tremolo: Yes.
Is the lower waist anywhere near the bridge: Yes
Good / Ridiculous / Lame: In continuation of a theme, here is another guitar that is just barely not a Jazzmaster. Just. Barely.
Does it have problems? Yes! It has three pickups. Which, to be clear, is the wrong number of pickups.
Also... WHY DOES THIS THING COST $3,000!?!?!?! Are the pickup covers made of unicorn ivory? I don't understand.

I think it must be the “rhino horn” used for the upper bout there.

I don't hate it. I like boring guitars. I think it'd be cooler as a short scale but knowing these builders it's probably Gibson scale.
What I don't like is the growing trend of guitar builders using reverb to sell custom guitar services. Maybe it's just me, but unless it's explicitly a pre-order for a finalized product (that reverb actually has a feature for), things that don't exist yet shouldn't be sold on reverb.
I remember seeing another reverb listing where it was something like $400 for what the fine print revealed as just paying for "a signed specsheet and build contract". It's confusing at best and misleading at worse, and just not what the platform is for.

I like the idea of a hot Jazzmaster. And the idea of the Jazzmaster inspired LP. And any kind of short scale offset idea. And silly pickup configurations. I guess everyone has a limit to how many similar versions you see before it’s too much, or how weird weird gets before it’s just plain weird.
I like a boring guitar too. They’re ok in my book. I loved my KC Jag build, where I used the same pickups in a blank factory 2nd unfinished body. It was a Gibson in all but name when it came to amplified sound, except it looked awesome, was 24” and super comfy for me, personally play.
That was a bit of a tangent. All I meant to say way that I love this thread- the good, the bad & the ugly. Thank you!

Make: Bridger
Model: Jazzcaster
Price: $625
Body Material: Unknown
Scale: 25.5"
Tremolo: No. Hardtail.
Is the lower waist anywhere near the bridge: Not particularly
Good / Ridiculous / Lame: I applaud the attempt at a unique design, but it is a bit awkward. And the use three toaster style mini-humbuckers with a Telecaster style control plate is just... Well, it's gross.

It’s more a Fender Lead Mustang with a Gibson neck than a Jazzmaster. A Fender Mustache.

I appreciate that they offset the tuning pegs on the 3x3 headstock.

Has anyone seen the Tone Bakery "Jazzbird" guitars on Reverb for $499.00? The specs look great but I only see 1 feedback related to the model in the seller's feedback history. The price seems alarmingly low for genuine Warmoth body and neck and Seymour Duncan P90s. I couldn't find anything online about them as far as reviews go.
