NGD Jay Turser MG2
Got this one today. Didn't mean to end up with two guitars but I placed an offer before I found the local used Mustang I also bought. My offer got accepted so I felt obligated to get the Jay Turser.
For the money this is a very good guitar. The fret ends are a little bit sharp but it sounds decent and plays well.
Hey what do you want for $150?
How about this:

Is that a CAR variant or just a flat red? I can’t tell.
For $150 that is insane and I’ve often thought about trying to get one. They even have the mosrite bridge! Do you have experience with the bridges they use on the squier VM line? If so, is this thing as shitty as those? It looks like it’d have to be better by virtue of design but who knows at that price what kind of screw slippage or movement it might come with.

always wanted one of these and to put lipsticks in em.
awhile back they were going for like $108-$115 and a few OSG posters were scooping em up.

I had one for a while. I found it to be a VERY playable guitar. It's not going to knock anyone's socks off, but for less than $200, it's a deal. And I like the bridge.
I ended up giving mine to my niece to learn guitar. And I don't suggest/give just any guitar to new players. You need a solid guitar if you aren't going to get frustrated in learning.

It is CAR.
Close up of the body so you can see the bridge.
Cheap guitars sure have come a long way.

Really? I haven’t even messed with the plastic yet. I’ll get my son to do it. He wanted to do it today but I made him stop.

LOL I had one exactly like this and I second that.
I enjoyed mine, but hated the bridge, could't get the thing in tune, ended up replacing with a tune-o-matic. After a while I got a real mustang and ended up trading the Jay Turser, but it's def a bang for the money.

Yeah I think we are going to leave the plastic on there. Does seem pretty well attached.
I like the guitar and so does my son. He will probably end up getting it sooner or later.
