Neck Angle degree of tilt on JMJM and Classic Player JAzz

I am doing some modding on a Fender body, and was wondering if there where any published stats on the degree of neck angle for the Squier JMJM or Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster--the ones with the TOM style bridge. I know Gibson neck angles can vary from 1.5 to 5 degrees with variations from model year to model as well. SGs tend to sit in the 4-4.5 area, but LPs are slightly less.

Any experts got any ideas?

I want to say none on the JMJM by looking at it/feel/conventional wisdom, but I suppose it would be hard to tell if it were somewhere within 1-5 degrees.

Have to say I'm not overly concerned about having the lowest possible action, though. Isn't the degree of tilt variable to how high your bridge is, anyways, i.e. not really a "value" to hit?

Well, the difference between these models and the Gibsons is that you can change the neck angle to whatever you'd like, at any point. I assume you're talking about factory setups?

Neck angle and action do not correlate. Depending on the guitar, you might be able to get very low action with a very straight neck pocket. On gibsons, your only possible adjustment to compensate for the original neck angle is the height of the TOM, so the factory angle becomes critical. On a JM...not so much. It can be whatever you want it to be.

pretty sure most offsets don't have any angle in the neck pockets except for the johnny marr jaguar and for everything else people just put shims in the neck pockets to get the break angle right. the jmjm and classic player have trem plates closer to the bridge which theoretically removes the need for the shims

I remember the CP and BTJM having a different neck angle, but don't quote me on that.

I've got a Classic Player Jazzmaster and am pretty sure it came with a built in angled neck pocket to replicate the shaming everybody does on the normal models. That and the moved tremolo were I believe put in there to address what some perceive as design flaws of normal Jazzmasters.
