Hi folks!
I got one more Fender Jaguar ;-) It is stamped "Made in Japan" with a "U" serial.
That "U" was used by Fender Japan in two phases: 1995-1996 and 2010-2011 after they changed back from "Crafted in Japan".
So, is there any reliable thing that can tell from which phase mine is?
All I can tell that is has a different nut width of 41.2 mm compared to my others measuring 42.2 mm in width.
I checked neck and neck pocket, but there are no dates noted.
Any help is really appreciated!

The more recent ones have a heavier, bold Helvetica font for MADE IN JAPAN - if you post a pic that'll help.

Yeah that's definitely the most recent ones. I lived in Japan for while and all the new ones had JD on it. Almost wish I got one cause those are my initials! I have a 90s one which starts with P.
