A Bilt has always been on my list. The Zaftig is basically everything I wanted from a Fender that I couldn’t have.

Here is my zaftig. I like it but I I usually play a Gibson and I find the neck to feel too far away from the body. It’s cool and it is a really nice guitar. I think that hey know how to do sparkle better than most.

Wow, that's crazy! I knew they did all kinds of custom work, but shit, that must have cost a ton.

I would just like to reiterate to all those who want to try these guitars to FUCKING BUY ONE. My relevator is making me want to sell all of my other guitars, it's just goddamn perfect. Maybe I just got lucky, but this is an incredible guitar. God, I'm looking at zaftigs now on reverb, I just might need one to pair with this...

The Reclaimed Redwood Zaftigs send me over the edge. Makes me want to sell everything I own and just have one.

What’s crazy is that even heavily optioned they are less than an les Paul standard or a 335. They really seem like a good value for how nice they are.

I'm fairly certain that it's this guitar:

Searched the forums here and apparently the former owner is/was a poster here too.

I got the bilt that I posted further up today and damn, these goldfoils sound great. But there's one problem.

STRAT

WIRING

AHHH

I like strats, but I find the quack positions unusable. There's already a ton of tonal possibilities, but I really want to see if I can rewire it to get rid of the quack.

Anyway...

Embrace the in-between positions man. They sound wonderful!

Congrats on the guitar! Is that a rhythm circuit on top? If so, does it operate similar to a JM/Jag?

On the gold foil one, yeah, a rhythm switch. The firebird one is a little confusing, I bought it used so the original guy might have gotten some crazy wiring scheme. It sounds like a rhythm circuit, but it's completely hum canceling, the only position that is. So who knows man, sounds great, though.

So what do you say: firebird minis vs goldfoils
