I predict a flood of tort pickguards on eBay shortly after these start shipping.

The black one looks awesome with the tort.

So...USA or MIM?
When in doubt, listen to the Ventures.

The US made '58 two-tone sunburst ones started shipping to dealers this past week.

I don’t understand why the MIM are nitro at 1200.00 but the 1800.00 professional ones are not?

Anybody have any reasoning here?

The AmPros retail for $1550, if they were nitro they'd be $2K like the American Original.

Personally I'd prefer if the MIMs were poly and only cost $800 like the CP series. And had Dakota instead of tomato soup red. And decent looking fretboards.

Also if you pay full retail price for New Fender guitars you aren’t patient enough. I just bought the 2 top line Fender Jazzy’s for less in brand new condition, not floor models, B-Stock or scratch and dent...really brand new:

Mystic Seafoam American Pro: $1,350
Ocean Turquoise Am Original: $1,699

Free shipping/No Tax

Also, I really hate the fretboards on these Anniversary models. Maple or Rosewood but not in between... :k

I guess I'm in the minority but I actually really like the Pau Ferro look. It looks really good with some colors.

Does anyone know if they have hit the stores?

I got mine 3 weeks ago (left). They are limited to 500 guitars from what I understand. The 58 is first to be released and then the others throughout the year. I love it, best Jazzmaster I have ever laid hands on.

Pretty sweet guitars with those matching head stocks and those filtertrons. These will be collectible.

David, I love that '58. I'd still go all Mastery on it, tho'!

I got a 58 a few weeks ago too. Oddly the neckplate has a serial number rather than the sixtieth anniversary logo.

I hate that they are only making 500 of those. No way I'll get one before they disappear. Love the 58 style so much!
