Yes, I misread that. The necks are made by jackson grover then finished in house.
What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

To be fair... titan is only half American. Doug said he only wanted to put the kauer name on American instruments so they came up with titan as a line to compete in the $1200 market. Here's a great thread:

http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums ... =99417
How is it half american?
Body? Made by us, painted by us here in Sacramento (CA)
Neck? Some are Grover Jackson made (in SoCal), some are made by us
Assembled? Us
Pickups? Duncan (CA), Lollar (WA) or TV Jones (WA)
Bridge? Nashville
Pots? CTS
Switch: CRL
Strap buttons? Dunlop

Tuners are Gotoh (Japan) and both case options I'm sure are made in China but otherwise it's probably more US made than an American Standard tele.

:D

(Congrats to the OP on an impending new Titan day!)

The post right above yours is me admitting I had misread your post about necks not being made in house.

yes, it's arrived!
that's a fantastic guitar!
in real life looks stunning!
it's stupid lightweight (3,00 Kg on my digital bathroom scale), and very resonant when unplugged.
and well, when plugged to my tube amp, it's all about Lollar P90s... it's amazing!
plays like a dream with very low action (EB 11/54 beefy slinky), with no fret buzz all along the fretboard.
neck is full but not chunky and i'm sure it will make both fender and gibson players very happy.
the satin finish feels great under your fingers, very smooth and comfortable.

if you want to have a look at boutique guitars with a limited budget, go get one asap!
if you know what boutique guitars mean and have no budget issues, go get one asap as well!

Doug, you just did an amazing job! if this is your "entry level" i really wonder what it feels like playing a real Kauer!
Titans are great guys, get one and you'll not be disappointed!
cheers!

"Offset-ish"?
Some people still don't get the concept of offset waist :fp: either it has or it doesn't...

well, both of you agree on that, but neither of you told me if a titan is or is not an offset guitar... as you say, it should be pretty clear ;)

I expressed skepticism at the description before knowing which guitar it was.

That is absolutely not an offset. It has a swept-body design, but the nadir of each half of the waist looks either straight across or maybe a 5-degree offset (which is an amount commonly found on many guitar designs).

I don't consider myself the Offset Police, but since you asked a direct question, I'll give a direct answer.

It's a gorgeous guitar! Just not an offset ;)

Looks great!
I love this design! P90s are fun pickups. I definitely don’t reach for the bridge P90 on my Prairiewood Fox when I’m looking for something mellow! Enjoy!
