In Boston it's "Jagwar."
In San Pedro it's "Jagwar."
In Billings it's "Jagwar."
In Rhinebeck it's "Jagwar."
In San Antonio it's "Jagwar."
In Minot (ME or SD) it's "Jagwar."

You're so upset that you can't see that I've been arguing this american pronunciation as the one CLOSEST to the actual this whole time!!!!!
I was arguing against the British Jag-u-ar!!!!

Holy fuck man.
Dense as the day is long.

I got pissed off when you accused me of being a "jag-wire" user. FUCK

Yes, and here in Newfoundland we have Isle de mort, which is pronounced correctly except for we say the t at the end of mort. We also have a town called Baie d' Espoire, which we pronounce "bay d'espair", which is really fucking funny when you think about it.

I haven't been advocating using the spanish pronunciation of Jaguar. I've been advocating the American "jagwar", because it's the closest to the actual pronunciation, especially the diphthong at the end.
YIKES. It's like everyone skimmed over what I was writing.

^ I kind of lost interest in the details once you guys started resorting to huge TL;DR rants and calling each other cunts.

And the discussion on pronunciation wasn't that interesting in the first place.

Can we PLEASE stay on topic, here?

This thread isn't about the minutiae of pronouncing "Jaguar". It's about the minutiae of why this Jaguar is neither vintage-correct enough, nor inventive and modern enough to satisfy us!

Me too! I just wanted to put my two cents in and got dogpiled for using a silly colloquialism (my bad!).

Yeah, I have half an eye on the turquoise one, but I'm not a fan of tortoise and don't like nitrocellulose. It's not new enough! And the mystic seafoam from last year has (the wrong fretboard and) no rhythm circuit... all the great colours wasted with the wrong specs, haha!
