The blue Troublemaker is quite nice take on the tele paul concept imo and the tele with jazzmaster outfit could be nice if the put some effort in an actual design for that pickguard and didn't crumble the vibrato right on the edge of the body. But that jag strat is simply the worst execution of a concept I've ever seen. Want a cool crossbread between a jag and a strat? Well, it's not that complicated:

Like this and the other example above, not enough chrome. A lot of the Jag appeal like the cars of the time was the chrome. At least Fender seems to know that if you are going to go bad taste, make it so bad its good. Like the appeal of cult movies in the misc thread.

Same here. Then I imagine it in Oly and I think I like it even more. I'm so in love with impracticality of it.

That strat-o-jag thing is ugly to me. Why the heck would I want a Jaguar without all the aesthetics and comfort of an actual Fender Jaguar. Not for me, nuh uh. If I want a 3 pickup Jaguar, I'll just route a center cavity into a regular 2 PIckup Jaguar and use a Bass VI plate on it - kind of like what Mel Waldorf did to his Jag in the 90's.

I'm pretty sure this is more for the 50 million Stratocaster fans who are curious about jags, than for the 500,000 Jaguar fans who are curious about stratocasters.

It's a non-offset with the electronics and bridge of an offset...in not surprised that the offset guitar forum isn't the target demographic!

The switching options are pretty cool. I quite like this guitar.

Funny, I happened to be standing there when Premier did that video. I couldn't hear what they were saying about the switching, so that was informative!


I had a chance to play the Jag/Strat briefly, though just acoustically. It's interesting, but it could really use an angled slot on the plate for the 5-way switch because it's easy to hit when you're strumming.

Why not? There are enough designs in your portfolio that are much better than most of what Fender put out in the last decade or so... :-)
