I think changing body shape is a great way to have new ideas relying on old tested platforms.
I'm gonna bust your balls a little bit:

Other than the body shape, what is the new idea here?
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

All of which is what it is, my point is that Gibson has always served a very broad market, I mean, Gibson is a legendary name in banjos, acoustic guitars, even the fucking mandolin.

But, Fender has the Meteora, which is a Telecaster but with a different body shape. Cool.
How about all those exciting and coveted Gibson amplifiers compared to Fender's offerings? What if you compare the innovation Fender has put in to their amps over the past sixty years? I suppose maybe you can say something about the companies that Gibson bought up, but besides a few models here and there Gibson amps are just as ignored a Fender's acoustics and jazz guitars over the years.

The body shape itself, that's what I meant. I know it's not groundbreaking, but I don't think we need "groundbreaking" with every new guitar, you know... Maybe that's just me, but I'm ok with just changing things a bit without making it a big commitment to whoever is buying to be trying something completely new. That's perfect for someone who loves teles but wants a rad looking thing, for example.
Jaguar > Jazzmaster :)

Got it- I was just curious, your wording led me to think that you were saying something that you weren't. Thanks for the clarification.

So I finished buttoning up my custom Meteora. Here are the pics:

Rosser Guitars custom made and routed the MA body. GuitarPaintGuys painted it a fantastic and gorgeous ocean turquoise. The pickups are Bootstrap Lake Surfer Jazzmaster pickups. The bound maple neck is a Warmoth Jazzmaster compound radius one. It’s heavy AF (who would have thought). The wood is super dense… I broke off 2 screws and 2 drill bits putting it all together. It’s beautiful, plays incredible, and is easily my favorite right now! Basically, I love it.

That’s all.

Definitely the best Meteora I've ever seen.

I was wondering if that body belonged to someone here. I kept seeing it while checking the GPG Facebook feed for signs of my body. It looks awesome! OTM is such a great color on, well, pretty much everything.

This is the first out in the wild photo i have found of the lake placid blue version of the Alternate Reality 2019 Meteora. The promo pics look quite different color wise but for those looking for a view of what it actually looks like ... here ya go.

Rosser has some dense ash, I think (if that's what the wood is). My Jag body from him is also not light, but it looks and sounds great.
