Wow, those idiots at Fender can't even do a Telemaster right.

It's kind of cool, but it needs a trem instead of a hardtail.

I kinda dig it. The headstock just looks out of place. It should be swoopier.

Fender is obviously trying to capture the lucrative market Gibson opened up with the Firebird X.

You all obviously forgot the Fender Voyager they prototyped in 2012. And why all the hate? They ALREADY HAVE a Telemaster. This isn't traditional offset territory, and I feel occupies much of the same niche the Fender Performer does aesthetically. I swear, there's no way to win with some of you.

I am so stoked for this. After I saw the body design at NAMM several years ago, then called the Voyager, I’ve been wanting one since. Bring it on!

Those are just bad lines. The body has zero relation to the headstock shape.
It looks like some weird, off-brand guitar with a fender neck.

Looks like shit on a biscuit. Pardon my Italian.
If you're gonna have such a weird, funky body, sticking a stock Fender type headstock on it just looks like a cop-out and a horrible mismatch of styles. I agree with the above post that it needs a different headstock. It would still be uglier than sin on Sunday, but at least it would be a cohesive, purposeful ugly (which actually counts for something and goes a long way to pushing "ugly" into "kinda cool/quirky" territory...see Pawn Shop series).
But, as is, it looks like someone bought a new bandsaw, drank a case of Michelob, put on a blindfold and went to work...and then just stuck on a Strat/Jazzmaster neck they had lying around the workshop. I hate everything about it...the proportions, angles, pickguard, finish, neck, bridge, etc. Even the name is boneheaded.
I do hate to be "that guy", but what in the hell is Fender's deal?

Tbh, dot inlays and a Telecaster headstock would've worked better for this model. I would've preferred to see more futuristic colors on it as well. A metallic finish might've been great. Or like, a gold guard.pscates wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2018 4:33 pmLooks like shit on a biscuit. Pardon my Italian.

Idk, I still dig it as is, but would likely have it refinished.

Was just about to say it's a voyager. What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

I think I know what the problem is. They should've gone with rosewood. I don't mind the actual guitar though.
