What is a fair price for a Novak JM-90 Bridge pickup. It's from 2013, used and includes a cream cover.
Thanks for your input.

**Not sure if this is in the right spot, feel free to movie it if needed**

The average used pickup goes for the neighbourhood of 50-60% of its price when new. Novaks and other boutique pickups are often listed for more - I've seen people asking as high as 80%, but I don't know how often they have actually sold at those prices. It's a niche market and not a huge volume of Novaks seem to be up for sale, so there's a high variation in pricing.

Is a new one for $95 really out of reach? The guy is kind of a miracle worker and it would be nice to support him with your cash. He'll custom-wind for you or do whatever you want, as well. My JM-180 is fantastic and a bargain at full price.

If you can't, you can't, I just like to remind people to vote with their wallet instead of always looking for the cheapest.

There's a 2017 P-90 pair asking US$170 on ebay currently ...

Can't argue with this. I have ordered 4 pickups from him so far and each order was something that nobody else in the world was offering. He's truly a gift to the Offset community with his creativity and talent. I'm happy to support him and I do feel guilty about the one pickup of his that I bought used - though that was what convinced me to place my first order for new ones!

Nothing wrong with buying used stuff. Guy has to pay his bills and so do you, it's just a guitar pickup after all, It's not like either of you are stopping world hunger.

I was unware of him. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Seems like an individual worth supporting indeed.

I wasn't really serious about feeling guilty. I do enjoy supporting someone who designs and builds as good a product as Curtis, though. I have 5 pickups of his and counting, and it just doesn't get any better than these.

Pay whatever they ask. They are worth it.
