Wide variety of Amps. Not just Fender.
I'm curious about a few of them. Next trip to the Music Stores I'm gonna try some of them.
I'm happy with Fender's & Vox's but always curious about new & different Sound & Tone.

For the moment I really enjoy a VOX AC10-15 with my Jaguar, the gain is fantastic and cleans are pretty mellow!
However Fender is great for other things, one being a pedal platform! I tried a Bassbreaker the other day, that was a lot of fun.
I'd really like a Princeton or DRRI ideally, the hey the BB has an FX loop.
Back to Vox, in my opinion lots of character for this measly single coiled Jaguar!
I also use a Katana for quiet-practice, they're OK, and a bit versatile. I'm considering doing more DI though for those odd hours.
If anyone uses a KTN feel free to let me know your opinion.
Sorry pretty sure I just listed more than one haha, side-note, Pignose + Jazzmaster on high volume with a pedal of your choice can be a lot of fun!

I have a silverface princeton non-reverb with a weber speaker.
Love it's sound; very clean and fenderish
On rehearsals I play on my champ (also silverface).

Re: What is your favorite Amp for your Jags & JM's?
I've owned about a dozen vintage Fender amps... I won't list them all, but I'll say my favorite and the one I've kept the longest/play the most - My 61 Fender Showman.
It's loud, it's powerful, it's got insane bass, clarity, warmth. I could go on and on about it.
Sure it isn't practical for gigging due to the size and value, but I've brought it to friends and recording sessions on numerous occasions.
I'll die with that damn amp.

JM - Princeton Reverb or Deluxe Reverb
Jag - Deluxe Reverb or Bassman (beefier sounding amp is good for Jags)
Have oddly never tried a Vox of any kind besides the AC4TV. Only Marshall I've ever used was a small Class 5. Never touched a Hiwatt, Orange, Mesa or any of the other common brands. I don't know how, but I just never had time with much besides Fenders.
Roland JC120 is awesome. It's solid state, but it's great with either guitar.

Jazzmaster into a Fender VibroKing.
That amp has serious thump. Clean up until about 4.5 (at that point it's too loud, anyway); it makes a great pedal platform. I also use the double tracker mode on my Keeley Memphis Sun -- always on.

I have tried Hiwatts, Swarts, a Vox-type amp, and a (new) Orange 2x12 combo. They did not sit right for me. I am/was too used to Fender scoop sounds to be particularly impressed.BoringPostcards wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 6:42 amJM - Princeton Reverb or Deluxe Reverb

I love the JC120 sound too, but it is so clean and harsh one has to be careful!
My favorite amp for all guitars, not just offsets, would be the Deluxe-- or, if volume was not an issue, a Super.

Re: What is your favorite Amp for your Jags & JM's?
I suppose you'll get as many answers as there are members here, and rightly so. By working the controls on the guitars and the amps nearly any guitar will work with any amp. Whether or not you like it or it's your sound is a different story.
Me, I bought my main amp at about the same time 7 years ago when I bought my first Jazzmaster. Mesa Mark I reissue head + 4x10 cabinet full of Peavey branded Eminence Copperheads. But I cheat outrageously on that amp these days with a "Bassbreaker" rig (59 Bassman LTD in a headshell with an Eminence loaded 2x12). I still prefer the Mesa rig for the more normal Jazzmasters I have, but prefer the Bassbreaker rig for the humbuckered Jazzmasters. I record with a tweed Deluxe clone and a Vox AC15C1X.

Deluxe is truly a great sounding amp. The Supersonic is pretty decent too.Jaguar018 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 7:26 amI have tried Hiwatts, Swarts, a Vox-type amp, and a (new) Orange 2x12 combo. Princeton Reverb;
If volume is a issue; 2 Princeton Reverbs
If volume is still an issue; 4 Princeton Reverbs
I kick myself in the nuts each day since I have sold mine.

I have a beat up 1964 Silverface Twin Reverb. Its way too loud and heavy but I can't part with it. Its sounds so great.
