Ok, the transparent red is pretty good. It's the most G&L of those finishes.

My favorite quote about this guitar,(from another forum)

"MFDs debuted well before there was internet corksniffery about magnet types" LMAO!

I like the sound of that guitar. Doesn't sound like a Jazzmaster at all, but sounds good as an electric itself. I've seen worse blooze and shred in guitar demos  I feel the PTB demo is actually well done. He does show there's a lot of sounds in that guitar.

I hope the pickups are made available on the G&L store. I've always wanted MFD pickups to suit the Jazzmaster.
I've got an MFD in the neck of a Blacktop JM--sounds gorgeous! -E

It almost doesn't sound like a Jazzmaster. Pickups sound a little more like a Gibson. Can this Guitar do Surf?

I would prefer these kinds of videos be less about the guys playing virtuosity & more about the Guitars versatility.

With the bass rolled back and a good spring Reverb, I have absolutely no doubt that it could do surf. If I close my eyes, when the bass is rolled back, I get a bit of a Mosrite vibe. Stick that through a blonde Bassman and a spring Reverb and it would totally work.

The lack of binding with those block inlays is making me want to catch myself on fire

I love blocks without binding. I used to also find it odd until I had a guitar like that. It seems normal to me now.

I'm with Mr. Birds on this. I will avoid your new B&noB love by NEVER EVER ALLOWING MYSELF TO GET A GUITAR THAT HAS BLOCKS AND NO BINDING. :P
