Always been interested in these, never seen one irl. How Is the neck? I'm forever in search of JMs with thin necks..
Very glued and greasy reverb sound

@green_mario
It's difficult for me to describe the neck and what I feel when I'm playing it, I don't have all the required vocabulary.
I can say, it's far better than the squier VM, it's less thin I think but fit better in my hand, I also prefer the radius of 7"25 than the standard 9"5, much simpler for chords.
But, except for the squier, I can't compare to any other Fender JM, this is the first I owned !

@Balley Watson
I find it hard to describe guitar necks too. For such an important component (at least to me) it seems like there should be a more quantitative and universal way of describing them, especially when necks can vary on the same model from year to year... /rant
Thanks for the description. Congrats your new JM!

Re: NGD Thurston Moore Jazzmaster
Congratulations on the deal!
I don't usually play much with tone controls but I found the the Antiquity IIs a little shrill compared the the AVRI pickups on my Thinskin JM (and I liked the sound of those a lot).
So I wired in a tone pot and dialed the tone down just a notch and then just shoved the pot in under the control plate. Sounds better than ever now.
For green_mario; the neck is pretty much a 62 AVRI profile. I have a 62 Thinskin JM and the necks feel about the same on those (though the Thinskin has a 9.5 radius). It is slightly less deep, so thinner from the top of fretboard to the back of the neck than my 62 AVRI Jag.

Re: NGD Thurston Moore Jazzmaster
Thanks guys
The no-tone control don't disappoint me, even if I think there is a lot of treble with my AC15.
But I can't say more, I don't rehearsal with my band yet ...
So you say you have hidden the tone pot under the plate ? It's a great idea, I keep it, maybe I'll try someday !

I love the finish of this model. Just not a big fun of the TOM bridge, I have it on my CP and keep thinking about getting a cheap roller one.

Re: NGD Thurston Moore Jazzmaster
She is cool like this, I don't think she needs her bridge to be updated.
But maybe in a few months, when I'll get enough money for, I'll buy a Mastery bridge to match the vibrato.

Re: NGD Thurston Moore Jazzmaster
Very beautiful! Congratulations. This is my favorite "stock" JM. (stock as in how it comes from the factory) The finish is beautiful, especially with the black headstock and anodized aluminum pickguard, and the neck really is fantastic from the two I've gotten to try out. I'm not a huge fan of TOMs, but they are better than the stock JM bridge and that's a solid plus. I never really use the tone pot anyway.
