NTD (New Tort Day)

i picked up a couple of cheap tort guards from the Stratosphere (Ebay store)...they aren't the real thing, but they look pretty good:

If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Great looking tort, and perfect matches for both finishes. The surf green Jag in particular looks excellent.

(I find that you get better resonance when you screw the pickguard down under the strings, however.)

That thinskin Jaguar is looking good!
Did the hairline cracks come spontaneously or did you help them a little bit?

put the tort on the jag. it isn't an exact fit, but it's close enough.

Wasn't there a "Pickguard Over Or Under Strings?" poll on that here a while ago? I remember coming away with the conclusion that the jury's still out...

Good-looking Jag, nice strap too. 8)
