Yes, the Kurt Cobain Mustang..

What does it use for a bridge?

Why dont the bodies have bridge posts drilled? Anybody know... :jacked:

It's a knockoff of an ABR-1 bridge, like a pre-Nashville style tune-o-matic. The threaded rods screw directly into the wood. This is an old picture, but you can see here with the height adjustment wheels taken off (lying on the plate). It says SG BRIDGE F 8107 MADE IN JAPAN, same one used on the purple MIJ Mascis JM. The studs are very close to the actual ABR-1 size, but I think they're metric and spaced a hair wider apart, iirc...

I love that you asked a question and got: A) an awesome smart ass answer and: B) an awesome real answer.
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

Geez, I've looked at pictures of those bodies countless times. Somehow I never noticed the lack of thimbles or the fact it screws directly into the body.

The saddle screws are M3 x 0.5 thread, with an overall length of 12mm.
