NGD JAGMASTER 2008
Bought this beauty last week.
I love the bulky neck and the sound of the pickups.
They sound similar to DiMarzio Super Distortion.

Some info on the pickups from the Seymour Duncan Website:
Duncan Designed Pickups
The Duncan Designed line of pickups was started in 1995 at the request of several of our larger original equipment manufacturer (“OEM”) customers who wanted to offer a pickup tied in to the Duncan identity on their mid-level instruments. While USA-made Seymour Duncan and Basslines pickups are intended to fit on instruments with list prices over US$800, the Korean-built Duncan Designed pickups are intended for OEM use on guitars and basses with retail prices between US$300 and $800. The Duncan Designed club members include Squier, Jackson, ESP LTD, Schecter Diamond Series, Daisy Rock, Hamer, Aria Pro II and Samick’s Greg Bennett series.
There are currently several humbuckers available in the Duncan Designed range, each of which is neck or bridge position-calibrated and was modeled after a USA-built model.
HB-103
The HB-103 was patterned after the SH-6 Duncan Distortion™ set. It uses ceramic magnets and powerful coil windings to deliver a high output tone with lots of crunch and harmonics.
The bridge pickup is Trembucker-spaced.

Cool! Have fun with it. I am a huge Squier fan, as it turns out. Great guitars at the right price.

Re: NGD JAGMASTER 2008
Duncan Designed pickups are definitely not terrible. The HB103 set doesn't have the super-thick magnet of the "real" Distortion, but a lot of people prefer the regular thickness magnets.

If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

i've owned a good 4 or 5 jagmasters. my main thing is upgrade the electronics but when you do, you have a fantastic guitar.

Re: NGD JAGMASTER 2008
I've had three Vista Jagmasters and am sorry I got rid of the last one. The stock humbuckers (not Duncans) on those are okay too.
They're not such a bargain as they used to be though, and the quality of cheaper Squiers has gone up quite a bit, so I doubt I'll find another at an acceptable price any time soon.

they come up from time to time at about £120 but that is rare as hell.UlricvonCatalyst wrote:I've had three Vista Jagmasters and am sorry I got rid of the last one. The stock humbuckers (not Duncans) on those are okay too.
