Hasn't there been previous Fender offsets in Antigua?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't Silverburst more a finish associated with Gibson? Wouldn't that make Silverburst on a JM more "weird" than Antigua?

Interesting - how many non CS Fenders have ever had that?

Presumably it's because of CITES - ebony looks to be ok if it is not from Madagascar. I could be wrong though....

If that had blocks and binding on the neck, I'd probably be looking into acquiring it. It is a weird Gibson vibe, but I kind of like that.
