Neck profile on the new Squier Deluxe Jazzmasters?

Howdy. Quick question and I thought somebody on here might already have one of these.

I won't have a chance to actually put my hands on one of these for another two weeks and I was curious... Is the neck profile basically the same as the white/gold Squier JMJMs or have they changed it up on this particular model? I've asked two other dealers and have received two different answers.

I'm talking about the new red/gold Squier Jazzmasters like this one...

I picked one of these up recently and tried it side-by-side with a JMJM for comparison. Almost every aspect of the 2 guitars was identical. The guy I was speaking to in the shop said that the JMJM had a thicker neck, but I didn't notice anything. The only difference I noticed was that the JMJM had some flame on the neck whereas the Deluxe didn't.

These look very cool!!! Being from China are they a higher quality Guitar compared to the VMJM's?

I'm also interested to know, whether these two necks differ or are they the same.... could somebody measure them plz..

I have this Deluxe and was able to compare it directly with the JMJM. They are exactly the same , except the JM JM has Jumbo frets. Pickups may have a few extra/less windings but that is all. Kind of makes sense as the factory unlikely to retool for a Squier model. Hard to justify the extra $135 for the JM signature

Gotta mention, I have one of these Squier Deluxe Jazzmasters and it is a great guitar. Not just for the price. Neck is awesome and the pickups actually sound good (although quite hot). Switched the bridge for a Staytrem bridge, really all it needed.

Where is it $135 more? Here in Canada, the difference is $70 CAD which amounts to about $50 USD. Still an upcharge for a signature and a different colour, but in fairness, I'd gladly pay $50 to avoid the eyesore that is that red/gold/black mishmash that the Deluxe has going on.

i got both guitars and imho they have the same neck profile/lacquer.
