Squier Vista MusicMaster Bass

Post by Rock This » Mon Mar 20, 2017 5:15 pm

Been lurking for a while and since I picked up this offset I figured I might as well join the forum. Just a Squier but it's pretty cool.

( a shout out to Pat from the Squier forum, who I see is a member here as well )

Thanks, it took a lot of patience to find one locally and last week it popped up on cl.

No regrets. Solid hardware and pickup is great. I see no need to modify anything except maybe the nut down the road.

My first instrument was a vintage Musicmaster Bass. They've always had a spot in my heart. The Squier Vista Series ones are really good.
Good score for sure!
AND it's pink!

I almost bought one of these a couple years ago.i can't remember if it was pink or green, but it had chips that showed through to the other color. One of many guitar regrets. Congrats and welcome!

You near Louisville ? Mine might be that one. Has two small chips on the rear edge. No dings on the headstock at all though.

Yeah! I bought one of these a while back, one of the green ones. Love it to death. I was surprised how much I liked the stock pickup!

I am just over an hour out of Louisville in Danville so it's quite possible.

They are out there to be had. I waited a heck of a long time myself though because I wanted to find one local.

Good luck in the hunk !

hey there!

not until now i see this thread, where i am even being mentioned in the OP! ;D oh yes, the Squier forum, i had an outta-control Squier-collecting era in my life...

well it just so happens that i picked up one of these basses for (very) little money in Mexico 2 weeks ago when i was over there. I wanted to test the waters re: CITES and such and decided to bring this one with me here to Germany.

Mine is black with matching headstock and the gold-letter logos. pretty damn cool.

i was looking for a vintage MM bass actually, since i might have to take over bass duties in my new project. so i was out on the hunt for a shortscale... and this one popped up.
it's all original except for one tele knob and a bronze nut (cool!)... hell i'll just post a NGD thread later today, OK?

but these are SO cool... and can it be the black ones are the rarest ones out there? i LOVE the pink ones, but it's the one i've seen the most.

rock on!

Pat.
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.
