LPB KC Signature Mustang - taken apart :)

Post by kurski » Sun Mar 19, 2017 10:23 am

Hi all,

Recently, I swapped my Jag-Stang for a KC Mustang. Before I did that I was looking all over the internet to see it taken apart to no avail unfortunately. Now I have got it I took it apart. Few comments: there are no ferrules to support the stock bridge, SD humbucker is actually an SH4, TOM bridge is Japanese Made, interestingly the switches are not the low profile ones they just got rubber washers installed so the switch sits lowers then without it. All the wiring is really low quality the leads come off when you touch them. I'm waiting for the parts now so the axe will be rewired properly, paintwork will be polished, frets will be crowned. Pictures attached. Enjoy.

I was surprised when I had one also that the TOM was sitting on screws that were just screwed in to the wood. I guess it makes it easy enough to drill your own normal thimbles or TOM cups if you wanted to change it out. :)
