Limited Edition MIJ Gold Jazzmaster
My wife got hired!! Thanks to all the people who wished us well. She will be working for Tacoma Boys. Took her two weeks to get a new job and she busted her ass running around doing applications and following up. Super proud of her.
I sold guitars to cover two months of her pay. I decided to keep half of what I raised for her in the accounts since I am not sure when she will be getting her first check, but that left me with enough to pick up a guitar to replace the four I sold for her. One of the guitars I miss the most that I have ever sold is my white Japanese Jazzmaster. I was looking online and there were a few up for sale and around $1300. (Man have they gone up.) While looking I noticed one of those limited edition ones with the gold hardware for around $1500 that was described as mint condition. I sent the guy a message to make sure there were not any neck pocket cracks and he said the guitar is 100% clean and sent me pictures. Guitar is now on the way. I am pretty excited. From what I read, there were like 330 of these made? The buzz stop is coming off and I will add some gold dual design strap buttons and it will be ready to rock! I had purchased a gold jag like this a ways back and it arrived with like an inch of paint missing on the lower edge that wasn't disclosed so I sent it back. Very pumped to get it. Here are the listing pictures for now.

Your wife should get fired more often!
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

So glad to here she's back working! And happy NGD! I've always dug these LE blonde Jazzies. Is your's really that 'banana pudding' or is it just the lighting?
Wouldn't suprise me if so, they're getting up there in age.

Thanks! The finish color reminds me of my Bronco that was white, but looks like banana pudding now. LOL

Keep the Bronco. For one, it makes it so I don't have to keep facing the fact that I can't actually afford it over and over.

LOL I haven't really gotten over being kind of mad about getting it boxed for quotes only to have the buyers back out.... I need to just let it go. LOL

I need a Bronco someday. Want to have one of every classic Fender at some point.
LE Blonde w/ gold hardware are sexy and somewhat rare. Good score. Pat (Pacafeliz) has had one or two (?) of these.

Really nice guitar but I hope you didn't pay $1500 for it.

Re: Wife Got a New Job and INC NGD!!
Indeed I did. When I got the Jaguar which was in less great shape a ways back it was around $800. Now Japanese Jazzmasters go for around $1200 on ebay and reverb unless it is sunburst for whatever reason. I figure since this one is less common than the white and blonde ones I was looking at that were around $1200 new in Japan that I didn't mind paying $300 more for it. Also it isn't super common to find one that is pretty much mint in condition if you find one of these at all. I found a couple that sold on reverb for over $1000 when I did the search.
I guess in the end, I don't mind paying that much because it was what I wanted. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone else, but it does to me. I have paid more at times for something I really wanted than maybe someone else would, but I really wanted it and was willing to pay for it. If there really are only 330 of these that were made, I don't see the cost I paid as unreasonable. Sure they were cheaper a ways back in the day, but so were vintage Jazzmasters. Now they go for several thousand dollars easy.

I say it's a good buy if you wanted it. Sometimes it's not about the guitar market, it's just about a cool guitar.
