This one's pretty hot.
One issue with the CS guitars is weight--sometime's they can be over 8.5lbs.

Yeah - The jaguars canbe. This has always confused me - why are jaguars heavier....

I would think it's due to much, much less wood being routed out of the Jaguar body when compared to a Jazzmaster.

Mostly this I think. Also the Jag has 3 metal plates where the JM only has pickguard material, it probably doesn't help the weight either.

Finally got a chance to try out one of those Artisan Blackwood Jazzmasters :? Easily in the top three Jazzmasters I've ever played. Thank goodness they didn't relic it. :P Looks nicer in person, too. Sadly, it probably still wouldn't cure the GAS... :(

If it has witch hat knobs, I strongly feel that the neck should be B&B, or at least D&B. >:( There. TAKE THAT FENDER!

They do it just spite you. They purposely used knobs with the number facing the wrong direction, too. Then they ruined the paint job, scuff-sctratch-chiped it all up, and to add insult to injury they rubbed actual dirt into the exposed wood. Then they rusted the hardware. Reminds me I need to get a tetanus booster.

I was excited to see this, but now I'm feeling conflicted. The 'aged sherwood' is a nasty shade of green, unlike the beautiful shade which is proper sherwood.
Witch hats on a 59? No amber switch tip?
What is this? The "59 Jazzmaster which was modded in the mid-sixties model?"
I'm not over the top when it comes to vintage correctness, in fact all my Jazzmasters have been off the mark on at least one thing and didn't bother me, including my AVRI 62, but c'mon.. it's the custom shop.
edit: they're even marketing it as 'vintage correct all the way through'... fucking Fender

Those Bass VIs are drop dead gorgeous, but I still can't believe Fender's using a Jag/Jazzmaster bridge on these. Gotta love a $4k+ guitar that you can't intonate properly. :fp:

I think they left the Metallic out of that color.

Maybe it's "Sweetwater edition" or something because in the official pictures on the FCS web are correct knobs.

Interesting -The sherwood at the music zoo has witch hats but the fiesta red at sweetwater has the regular knobs... Bad shipment of Sherwoods?
