According to my crack INTERNET EXPERT RESEARCH Sherwood was only available Pre-CBS. So no Sherwood green JMs with Witch hats should ever have been produced.

Also: I have a Sherwood green Jag-- with a B&B neck. My life is a lie. :'(

Nah, they made Sherwoods until '65. Here's a '65 with stock witch hats (no D&B though):

That's also one of the nicest-sounding 60s JMs I've ever heard.

But that '65 has the numbers facing the right way, these custom shop reissues have the numbers facing inward. And they claim to be '59 reissues.

That '65 is pictured more here: http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/vie ... &p=1263467

Pfft. 1965? Old can of paint from pre-CBS days. :P

Here is aged black Jazzmaster: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/JzMst59JRAB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
That pickguard is too dark for my taste :/

Here is aged fiesta red Jazzmaster: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/JzMst59JRAFR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So here's a little different one with a solid rosewood neck http://themusicfarm.com/store/fender-20 ... -case.html
But why did they lacquer that entire neck, fingerboard and all? :fp: And then they relic'd the lacquer.
Someone needs to strip that neck neck and buff it out properly.

Different aging on the screws... (pickguard vs. switches and roller knobs)
"Well done" Fender CS :fp:

This guitar has been keeping me up at night. Some elements remind me of my old '59 that was stolen by some shifty movers many years ago. It was a true one of a kind. I'm very intrigued by this new bridge and neck scenario, though. Solid rosewood? Seemingly no truss rod access ? Haven't been able to find any review or details anywhere on this particular beauty. Best pics and price that I've been able to find are here: http://ebay.to/2vMmkRS" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wow. Danocaster make some very, very nice guits. Thanks for the reco. Wonder what those would run for? Still interested in learning more about these beasts, too. Thanks again.

Pricing's on their site. I think they're around $2500? Pretty reasonable for what you're getting.
