Re: Non-Fender offset guitar thread...
It would be listed on their site as a "custom" model. EGC will pretty much make whatever you want (PUPs, acrylic/wood/AL body, neck shape/radius, colors, etc). The one issue with them is the wait times can be a bit lengthy (as short as 4 months, as long as 1 year).BBRRTT wrote:Christ, it's like a Travis Bean Jazzmaster. Could you tell me what model it is please, I can't find it on their site and the filename doesn't help either.Bizono wrote:Electrical Guitar Company
Hope to have them make me one of these in the next calendar year.

Also, EGC has a deal with whoever owns the rights to Travis Bean guitars and will be manufacturing new Travis Beans in the next year.
Cheers!

Re: Non-Fender offset guitar thread...
I felt compelled to make this set of images to supplement the other "What is an offset?" images, as this is how I think of it. That's Spitfire tort on the last two, screen-grabbed from one of his latest posts. Not sure what thread(s) the other diagrams originated in. Made these in Powerpoint, don't have Photoshop, otherwise I could have done a matching headstock.
Now that I've done this, I hope one of you luthiers makes an offset version of Les Paul's "The Log" guitar, neck through with removable hollowbody guitar wings sawn off of an Epiphone or something like that. Such a guitar could end up looking kind of art-deco, with staggered blocks of alternating colors, a Jazz-age Jazzmaster if you will...
No dogs were harmed in the making of this infographic. Please: Nobody make an offset dog, even if you are an excellent luthier, dogbreeder, and veterinarian.

I don't want to come across as some kind of Offset Fascist, but surely the Nighthawk and Airlines are merely wonky, not actually offset. Has anyone mentioned the Gibson Moderne yet?
