Are you back to using a Klon? I considered buying myself a KTR but they're almost $400 here in Canada, new, and I'm just not sure I'd use it enough to justify the price.

If this is a fantasy set-up, then I'd go with:
Pre-CBS Jazzmaster
'58 or '59 Bassman
A tube tape echo

Yes, I have been using the Klon pretty much full time for quite a while...I use the Super Duper when I play through the Tweed Princeton though, it just works better.
Actually, come to think of it, my Super Duper is currently broken...I should try and have it repaired.
The Klon is a massive part of my sound...it stacks really well with the Model H I use for my high-gain sounds.
I could probably just live with tuner > Klon > Model H and be happy forever playing that though the Matchless...through the Princeton the chain doesn't really sound that good.

Re: Pick your one guitar, one pedal and one amp...
That's fantastic!
I'm guessing your Tweed Princeton behaves more like a giant overdrive pedal anyhow, right? The amp IS the sound, rather than an amplifier of that which came before it? Some amps just are like that. My Brown Princeton is like that, for sure. Which leads me to my own 1-1-1 setup...
Tele > Barbershop OD > Vibrolux Reverb
I've been playing this a lot lately, mostly along to records like the White Album. Could probably do without the OD, but sometimes those songs call for a little bit of grit (the thread also dictated a choice). A great guitar into a great amp is the closest thing to the same intimate experience you get by playing a really great acoustic, and to me that's much more rewarding than turning knobs and fussing over effects.

This is tough.
I guess I would go with jaguar, delay pedal, sunn beta lead (I would prefer my Sunn Model T but the beta has built in distortion so I don't have to use a dirt pedal for my pedal pick!)

From my own gear:
guitar: 1972 Thinline Tele (wide-range pickups)
amp: 1966 Bassman
pedal: tuner? is that a cop out? otherwise, my Timmy.

A Jazzmaster into a Rockerverb is heavenly!loveinathens wrote:Fender Jazzmaster, Orange Rockerverb, Caroline Wave Cannon
Doesn't need any pedals really, but a fuzz pedal is a good complement. Although I use the Fulltone OCD more.
