Welcome
John is building guitar bodies? Tell us more pleaseMayTheFuzzBeWithYou wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2023 9:26 amUpdate: my package should be finally out of customs (after two weeks) and as I wasn't at home today... I'm gonna pick them up tomorrow.
I made a rookie mistake this time that I haven't made ever before. Normally when ordering from Staytrem I took ONE single bridge and one or two vibrato arms. Two times I bought used (70-89€ - so a pretty good price). And one time when there were no exports, Jon was kind enough to get me two bridges and an arm along with the body he made for me (so no extra costs).
This time I ordered "just" two bridges. Only that the prices have risen - and I was way over the 150€ "limit" - so this time this meant custom fees - and if I deciphered the amount correctly - it will cost me 51,15€ ON TOP!
Which put's them around 115€ a piece instead of ~93€ for one (86€ without shipping)
So my recommendation, if you order from the EU: best order just ONE bridge and ONE arm (if you need it). If you should need more: make individual orders.
On the good side: shipping costs have been moderate (6 pounds instead of 17,5 - maybe due to the reduced size?)
Jon…Rexter did…and he painted them…oh, were they pretty!PJazzmaster wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 2:33 pmJohn is building guitar bodies?
