Offset bass guitars?

Postby jcole » Wed Mar 10, 2010 7:22 pm

I'm a new guitar player and an owner of a recently acquired AVRI Jazzmaster. My wife is a bass player who has been playing off an on for about 15 years and has recently renewed her interest in the instrument. She's been playing a MIM Jazz Bass which has served her pretty well up until now, but I think she's ready for an upgrade.

The MIM is a bit on the heavy side for her, and since she's partial to Jazz Basses, I'm thinking about a nice CIJ or American Standard. I've spend the last year researching the heck out of guitars, but I'm not so knowledgeable on where the value is with Fender basses.

Thoughts?

Go for the gold!

The Jaguar Bass would go nicely with your Jazzmaster.

I think that American-made Fenders are the best investments. And I don't mean financially, though they do hold their value the best. But they are the best instruments "out-of-the-box" so to speak. You typically don't have to upgrade them like you might end up doing with the MIM or CIJ stuff.

So get her a Custom Shop Bass VI! :w00t:

+1

I thought nothing would ever come between me and my P-Bass until I got my hands on this beauty.
