Fender Vintera Jaguar
Anyone managed to get hold of one yet? Not seen any online reviews so far. Told by my local retailer they're expected mid Sept. Personally loving the look of the Ocean Turquoise.
I want to die peacefully in my sleep - like my father, not screaming in terror - like his passengers.

American Musical Supply and Zzounds are showing a release date of August 13th. Those dates often get pushed back a month or two anyway, so September could be accurate. The best bet at an early demo/review is going to be at Summer NAMM next week.

Wonder why this one is taking so long to release?

Well they were announced about 2 weeks ago.
Look at the ZOO RI... it's been announced many moons ago and it's still not in stores yet

Re: Fender Vintera Jaguar
Just snagged an OTM, got it silly cheap so couldn't pass on it. The fit and finish is very good straight out of the box. Must admit the PF board did worry me at first, looked dry and pinky-orange but darkened up a bit with lemon oil. I guess I'll get used to it. The OTM colour is absolutely gorgeous. Another plus is the tort which is surprisingly good (looks way better than on some US guitars I've seen) and so maybe I won't swap for mint which was my original plan. I've had a 68 block inlay Jag since forever and I like the feel of the Vintera's neck better. Bridge feels OK, no buzzing, though may swap with a Staytem I have (but it's a 9.5 and would have to shim the middle saddles I guess.)
Be interested to know what other people are thinking about the Vintera Jags.

Just a quickie in very poor light this overcast evening. More turquoise to my eye in real life.

That is absolutely beautiful. I'm a sucker for blue/green jags with matching headstocks...have 3 variations, myself!
I agree that that type of colour is notoriously difficult to get an accurate photo of. None of my photos of my "OLB" Jaguar look remotely similar to the shade it appears to be in real life.

Neck is gloss, which bothers me not. Nothing a bit of sanding wouldn't satinize if you are that way inclined.

That's a decent piece of Pau Ferro too, nice and dark. I saw one recently that looked like runny turd. I think it was on the recent Jimmy Page Telecaster thing.

WOAH WOAH WOAH HOLD ON A MINUTE! Am I looking at stock Fender tort that looks like the real deal is and a definite l, like on par with Spitfire? Because this picture makes that seem like that’s the case.operandx wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 11:16 amDSC02654-a by operandX, on Flickr

Or, is it an old camera/phone/the lighting was bad/etc. so it’s just the same stuff they’ve been using for years anyway? Either way it looks INSANE - very jealous.
