Re: post padding
I wasn't being serious, just joining the witch-hunt.
I'm not sure what the post padding hype is about anyway. What, take all that time making up 50 bogus posts, only to sell your gear for less than E-Bay or C-List. Most members wouldn't buy or sell to anyone who had just popped up overnight anyways. Just my thoughts.

Re: post padding
First post here. Looks like this 50 issue is settled, but maybe I'll add some newbie comments.
I found this site due to my recent Offset GAS. I''ve been on various
guitars lists since to 90s and do not have a rep or a past of scamming
or spamming , though I do admit to pamming my fry pan.
Since I was trying to absorb all things offset, especially of a
JM nature, I read lots of posts, including some about only posting the
FS ads in the FS section. I am thinking where in the dell (green verdant
meadow) is that? Only found out by chance that you don't see it until
you post 50 times and supplicate to the mods.
It is what it is, but in the meantime I found a way to buy a cool offset
anyway - beautiful JM by Bob Logan, should be here on Tuesday. I am
sure Bob doesn't mind that I could not see FS here, and I think I
found an awesome JM. But one fly on the mustang / flea on the jag
is that the 50+ sellers missed out on a possible sale.
All that said, I am glad I found this site and I am sure I will learn
a lot. Not sure if my own knowledge will ever justify me making 50
post but thanks to all of you :-)

Re: post padding
The FS section isn't some holy grail of offset trading jam packed with bargain basement prices for awesome guitars...kbee wrote:...but in the meantime I found a way to buy a cool offset anyway...
It's actually fairly quiet. Sure there are some gems in there from time to time, but the point of this forum is to have somewhere to nerd-out talking about offset guitars with like minded persons...
It's not about trading. You'll see that if you get to 50+ and they let you into the FS section.
...but the meantime, I'd like to welcome you aboard
Some pictures of your recently aquired offset would be awesome!
Yes. I believe it's called "The Newbie's Lament".slavemaster wrote:^ Is this a poem?
It's not quite Edgar Allen Poe... but it's not bad

Re: post padding
It is pretty well structured. Considering it's his first and only post I don't necessarily see him coming back to nerd out on offsets, but I could be wrong. Hopefully I am.natthu wrote:Yes. I believe it's called "The Newbie's Lament".slavemaster wrote:^ Is this a poem?

For me, the guitars are secondary at this point. I come here strictly for the twerk vids and politics.

Re: post padding
I agree there some stunning and scary avatars here.
I will be careful.
Thank you for the welcome. I will try to post
some pictures of the new JM. I may or may not
nerd out, though it is tempting. Just playing
what it is as it is is also tempting after all my
years of Nerd Waste in other locales.

Yes, we're a very stunning yet scary group here. Be extremely careful.kbee wrote:I agree there some stunning and scary avatars here.

Can someone tell me what shadowplay's avatar is? I've done very specific google searches to no avail. It could just be a random purple cat in a beret but it looks somewhat familiar as if I saw it as a child or something..
Oh no, am I post padding?

Re: post padding
The Best Guitarist thread is way worse. There are people posting like five guitarists as seperate posts all in a row. Isn't BEST supposed to be ONE? Could they not as easily put all five or six guitarists as one post rather than seperate? Just sayin'.ZenJenga wrote:for the love of god somebody delete the MISC Word Assoc thread.
