Thanks guys!
Yeah, this probably is the longest-taking restoration in forum history. About 16 years, perhaps? The only non-vintage things on there now are the saddles and the trem arm....i love sharin foo wrote:

I think the tortoise guard really finished it off perfectly.

Closely followed by my '59 JM - bought when I was 20 (I think).Orang Goreng wrote:

Restored a little over a year ago. I make that about 14 years!!

Well, it was especially made for me at a time no RIs were available, so I'm a bit attached to it. If I let it go, Fuzz_King has dibs.

It often scares me to know how scarce vintage instruments will become. t's good to know there's some one out there fighting for their survival

I suppose technically this is a partsmaster made out of vintage bits and restored lovingly. I have personally nicknamed this "Lazarus" because it's been brought back from the dead, outta hell and where it belongs.
Such a splendid effort. Shows how much you love offsets Zai, really does.

Yeah, it's a partsmaster, but because the neck and body belong together I see it more as a patient with a lot of organ transplants, somehow.
Somehow it's a shame that one got superseded by my '64, which I've used most of the time ever since. Last gig I decided to leave the '64 at home though (or used it as a back-up, don't recall), and played the entire gig on it. Last time I did that before was this show (2007), which seems like an eternity ago now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbmpgTT0XhE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
