sonic blue or daphne blue?

Post by maxxx » Fri Feb 05, 2016 12:00 pm

Hello,

Quick question before I buy the paint from http://www.reranch.com/colors.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

the neck on my musicmaster 2 is dated Jan 1966 I thought it would have been Daphne blue right ?
now I see the sonic blue and I can't tell by the small sample in the neck pocket. any hep on color choice and tips on the aerosol would be helpful.

thkx.

these came in 3 colours only (from 1964 onwards) : Daphne Blue, Fiesta Red and Olympic White... there never was a Sonic Blue Mustang, Musicmaster or Duo Sonic. But if I would have the choice I'd go for a Sonic Blue refin rather than the (original) Daphne...

Thats what I thought Daphne blue.

Its hard to tell by the swatch sonic blue looks lighter. better or worse not sure. It looks like it might be hard to get it to look good. I figure if i made it match the pick up pockets that if it came out sH*t that I could relic it down to look decent.
