Re: THE OSG TWIN PROJECT THREAD: 2 COUNTRIES, 2 JAG BODIES..
Just got the "Scary Packages of Fear" today:
- package 1 : all I need to clear coat the body myself.
- package 2 : a complete wiring kit with all the good stuffs inside.
I'm scared because I've never done this before, either wiring or finishing something myself.
I don't want to screw this up...but it's also exciting!!

seems like I did everything right. I'm already a fan of the kill switch

thanks. Actually not sooooooo special, .... you can achieve (almost) the same effect with the rhythm circuit (just not as handy), if you put the rhythm volume to zero and then using the rhythm switch as on/off (= kill switch). I wanted to have a separate "knob" for it since it allows better & faster control (this type of switch)
These switches are relatively easy to get (random picture from the internet):

Re: THE OSG TWIN PROJECT THREAD: 2 COUNTRIES, 2 JAG BODIES..
so I tried the AV65 PU's ... very good PU's indeed (especially for the price, incl covers and claws etc.), they basically nail the vintage sound, very transparent and also 3-dimensional (yes ) but I think I will install the Pickupwizard PU's from my other Jag to give them a try as well. The Pickupwizard ones are a bit (just a bit) overwound so they sound slightly fuller (I like both). Also: I THINK I got used to the staggered polepieces of the pickupwizards ---> resulting in louder D and G strings (comparing to non staggered PU's). Let's see... also not impossible that I will switch back again to the AV65's....

I like it too!!
Meanwhile, I have received the last parts I needed today :
- a cheapo china pickguard (which is perfect, a little off-centered, but nothing to really worry about), just to wait until I make my own wood pickguard.
- and an amazing custom job from SneakyT.
I'll post a pic later !!
