Very Nice.
It was like following a wounded veteran's rehabilitation.
I got all teary-eyed at the end.

Stunning rescue job! That's a lot of work for a cosmetic adjustment, but it was worth it. Kudos!

Truly noble re-animation of what even I would've called a "corpse"
She has a new lease on life, I hope it's a long & noteworthy one.
Great Save!

The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

you did great work!
But i think it would look better with a JM neck, even a repro. (says the Coro guy who is missing a vintage Coro neck!)

Stumpy Update:
This guitar is so beautiful. I had to give you all an update. I was texting Gonk a couple weeks ago about him listing his 1960 jazzmaster for sale again. He mentioned he might be selling stumpy too. I've always loved that guitar. I loved the Coronado black headstock etc. So i kind of begged him to sell it to me. I moved a few items, and then contacted him. John, Doug, and Telliot did an amazing job on this guitar. Bringing it back to life. Since John's last update he put a black Mastery kit on it. A black anodized guard, black covers, and tele knobs.
I think its the perfect mix of new and old. It has the vintage prototype 57-58 jazzmaster vibe in the body. late 60's vibe in the neck, and the modern touch of the black mastery kit.
Amazing guitar. It plays, and sounds great too.
Now for the pics:
