Re: P64 JAG..NAILED!
Fine looking Jag project. I watched this one on eBay, too. Glad to see it being so well restored! I'm still looking for a similar Jaguar, one that's had similar abuse so I can use my ReRanch BLACK.

No... but there were plenty of 9 string Jazzmaster conversions!spook wrote: Was it common for people to try and turn jags into twelve-strings?!

Nice Doug!
A question before you slam all the goodies on that one.
- How deep is the mute slug hole? David (sook) thought it could be the same depths on AVRI's and Vintage Jags and I'm about to install an AVRI mute on my CIJ Jag.

Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Using my completely unscientific method of inserting a toothpick in there and then cutting it flush and measuring it with a tape... I get 1 3/8" which I believe is 1.375" or 34.925 mm...

Re: P64 JAG..TEASER!
the teaser shot:
I was going to begin assembly, but decided to start fresh tomorrow. The polishing came out really well, much better than the pic. I think I'll rub it out again in about a week, the clear seemed somewhat soft still.

Re: P64 JAG..TEASER!
I got all the holes drilled, which was something I was a bit nervous about. The beauty of filling them all was that it allowed me to custom fit the shrunken guard to the chrome bits and eliminate the infamous "sideways screws". In a few cases, I accidentally found the original holes, one of which was the one by the neck.
Next comes the shielding / glazier points which may be a bit of a challenge. After that comes the soldering, which I don't fear in the least. She could finally be finished in just a few hours now...
