Stripping the body...can you spot the original gold on white primer?

Indeed! :-* 8)

I remember it well..it looked amazing...I also loved the Inca Silver one that was also for sale a few years back...matching headstock too, if I remember correctly :)

Ok...it's ready for painting I'm handing it over to Dave at Eternal Guitars near me to do the painting as I can't be doing with paint fumes any more..breathed far enough of that stuff in during my lifetime so far..

Will be sealed, white primer..Shoreline Gold base coat then clear lacquer..Nitro of course.

Forgot to mention the back of the neck still has an intact original finish which is cool..

Are you having the clear tinted at all?

Thanks! I hope so..this is who is doing the paint: http://www.eternal-guitars.com

It's a really special guitar...the colour it was is crazily rare..and it's doubly crazy that it got stripped..so its deserves the best i can give it. :)

Great project!

I`m a bit fascinated by the tele junior on the eternal-guitars site. Looks like they do some nice work!

How will you repair-replace the piece of missing rosewood?
Your VI will look great in SG. I'm happy that my VI is still the only natural alder around.....
