Bridge Thimbles

Post by neckbolt » Mon Mar 01, 2010 2:18 pm

I want to replace a jazzy body with another one. Somebody refinished it and sanded to much away from the neck pocket. So i want to transfer all of the hard ware and electronics to the new one. Do you think the bridge thimbles will come out of the old body easily enough to tap into the new body??

what you do is heat them up with a soldering iron for about a minute each and then pull them out with some pliers. Twist them back and forth then pull up. I know there's a post about this method somewhere...
