Re: Electric XII project
thanks Jazzprod.. it's going to be someone else project now though, I've bit off more than I can chew and realized I'm not in the financial position to take this on right now. aside from not having the money right now for supplies I haven't had a proper amp in several months and it doesn't look like I will until at least next year if I don't sell something.. plus I've got a few commitments that need to be tide up so as frustrating it is to loose two of these in a few weeks time I think it makes sense to move this along and get my set up situated. I appreciate everyones thoughts and advice.. hopefully it'll stay in the family and we can still watch it get a nice coat of paint

Re: Electric XII project
I thought I'd kickstart the thread again...you see, I bought Justin's XII a few weeks back.
the transaction was super-smooth and everything was packaged extremely well.
yesterday I shot the primer on the XII...it's now hanging at my uncle's garage....
here's a few pics....
it'll look stunning in black.....I will most likely put a white guard on it soon though...the original red guard looks....ummm...."unimpressive", I guess is the word

Very cool Z!
If you all dont mind here is mine... after going back through this thread I am thinking I should have done it IBM.
This is a Unrouted JM/Jag body from AllParts. I did it in Teal Green.

Do those screws thread into the body when you use that metal thing to hold it? I always screw from the other side into the wood but I think your way is better (actually, I know it is!)
Looks good as well. The top horn is more like a Jag than a Jazzmaster which is XII correct I believe.

Re: Electric XII project
ok...I had to go to rehearsal...got back a while ago....here are the pics I took...the headstock looks great....the body wasn't looking as good...I sanded some bits, and then sprayed some more black ontop...
these are pics I took before shooting a bit more...it was very cloudy, so they aren't very nice pics...but what can we do?
so yeah, still working on it
