Re: 61 jazzmaster project!
I use a "pink pearl" eraser as my sanding block, and I use my index fingertip for the edge contours...use light pressure. Check to see that your contours blend in nicely with your faces.
Check your progress often in the light to see that the surface is really smooth and uniform.
When I shoot color, before applying the consecutive passes of color, I just give the paint about 10 - 20 seconds to lightly dry so the possibility of getting a run is avoided (I'll change my previous post to read 10 -20 seconds instead of the couple minutes I previously said...I overestimated that time...you don't want to wait too long or that can cause problems too. Just spray a pass on the sides, then the back and then the front and repeat. I set my nozzle tip to shoot a horizontal fan and I overlap my passes by about 50% of the spray fan width and I spray mostly vertical passes ( I keep my body hanging and move around it as I spray) I change the fan nozzle to spray a vertical spray fan and I spray a horizontal pass on the two faces, every 3rd one.
On the clearcoats, you'll probably find that one aerosol can will give you 6-8 passes on each area. I use about 1/2 of a can for the color and 2 full cans for the clear.

Bon chance, ami.
