It was a small project, but I got a couple pieces of alder in the mail from the generous theworkoffire, and I spent the last hour and a half or so fitting them to my jaguar. Now, my pickups will screw into actual wood and I can actually adjust their height reliably!
Had to get a file for five bucks from the local hardware store to help with the shaping, but it's a useful tool and made the work go smoothly. Also, if you note, I signed them with today's date, so if I ever have to get rid of this baby they will know its history!
Here is with the pickguard back on.
