Well, I for one (and as I said about 100 times on this board already  ;)) if a vintage-correct GG becomes available, I'm still on the list.

point is, i wouldn't trust in a poll as a basis for monetary caculations, i'd just find it too risky at the mo. maybe i should really wait and see what they will come up with.

my korinamaster (with thick scot guard) definitely has a new ring to it. it's a cool resonance. might not be everyone's cup of tea, i might add.
the shielding with brass plates AND alu guard is fantastic! the guitar is extra silent

I didn't know an aluminium guard was affecting the sound...

I didn't believe it either before I tried. I does affect the sound quite a bit, actually. The guitar sounds brighter.

Yes I agree it does add top end - well acenuate what is alrready there. I had a 57 reissue Strat, it was a light Ash body with a maple neck, I added a gold guard for that Gilmour 001 vibe and also fitted a 'base plate' on the bridge pickup for some Tele twang and it became a very snarly guitar. The guard and the base plate were two very cheap and sonically obvious upgrades.
Yes the cat has opposing thumbs and extra digits.
