Nice job bringing this back to life, actually really dig the finish wear on it.
Thanks, I like the wear too. It's by far the most beaten guitar I own, but it looks beaten in a good way to me. I'm keeping an eye out for a Mustang neck... the Duo Sonic logo is starting to aggravate my OCD :fp:

Why is it whenever I find something to fix, it's a pain in the ass, and not very fun in the end. This is amazing. I would love to give life to something again like this, where it shows some of its past life. Amazing. Walked back from the edge and lookin good!

I've had my share of those projects too... This one was particularly fun though! It kinda reminded me of my first offset, a 1975 Musicmaster I bought in 1999 for the princely sum of $75. Someone had rattle canned it red, but the original white was intact underneath. I wish I'd kept that guitar now...

Ah yes... The Offset that got away! Mine was a graduation present 69 Reissue... While I hope to find another one day, I have come to realize there are so many offsets out there that catch my attention... Once we stop looking that's when we find them, right? LOL

I can see a search for a Duo Sonic body to match that neck in your future. ;D

Well.... ..... I've already found one... and a neck off a '75 Mustang... and all the parts should be here this week to build another Duo Sonic (stay tuned for that, it'll be more of a mod/project guitar though... don't worry NO routers or other power tools will be involved!)

Here's the neck, it's supposed to arrive Wednesday.

I love the streaks going through the grain on that neck! Did this cost you a lot? Also the restoration was very well done, grats.

Thanks, I found the neck on Reverb for $275... Seller was open to offers, so I probably could have gotten it cheaper, but it had only been listed about an hour and I had some serious GAS going on :D
