-the body date and the bottom of the neck pocket have been masked off - I'm going to write a little message saying that the body is 81% original and a link to this thread next to the body date, to let future guitar archaeologists know what's up.

As-yet-ungreened Lake Placid Blue is going on.

I used some thinned Elmer's Wood filler as a grain sealer (regular grain sealer always seems to wipe right away when I try it!) And BIN white shellac sealer as a primer.

It's seeming to do a good job of hiding the repairs so far!!

It's way more of a true green than an aqua in real life:

The tint went on uneven, so I needed to re-do the blue on the back and do the tint again. (the picture is after some wet-sanding with a sanding block.)

Without looking back through previous pages, has a pickguard colour been mentioned yet? I can see mint looking amazing on this.
