Good video to demonstrate how impractical it is to make a new pickguard without a template and pro routing tools. I was really hoping that he had found a way to do it with just his scroll saw and files, as that was the way he was initially heading. But he eventually realized that the bevel would need too much manual work and probably still wouldn't look that good .. so he went and made a template (which you would usually do at the start) and used his bench router with the right bit.
