60s Fender Mustang restoration
I just paid for this and will hopefully be getting my hands on it sometime around the Christmas holidays.

The see-through aged pickup covers are nice.

Whoever relic'd that over-did it a bit.
Seriously, this looks fascinating, looking forward to seeing it, especially the headstock repair.

Re: 60s Fender Mustang restoration
defo paying attention to this one.
looking at the chunk out the body and headstock crack. im guessing it hit a concrete floor side on with a lot of force. im guessing someone tried to smash it. also the wood looks pretty fresh so i'm guessing it happened recently.

It will be a few more weeks before I get my hands on it, but I will be posting more pics as soon as I do.

Re: 60s Fender Mustang restoration
Cool! I would safe the look definitely.
For me it looks like this Mustang was forgotten in a basement and other things thrown over it over years, and maybe a heavy furniture or something killed the headstock...?
But what a great project!
After a bit cleaning it will look better, on the neck and frets this just looks like dust?
The body need a bit of work of course.
I would love to do this project.

Suscribed. I want to see how that body can be fixed. Lovely Mustang, even if it is mutilated like that.
