Lashing made the closest replicas of stratocaster guards, which were made from the same rare and no-longer-produced celluloid nitrate material used on the vintage originals, but I’m not sure if he or anyone else has attempted to make celluloid nitrate jazzmaster guards, or guards for other Fender guitar models for that matter.

Re: Repro nitro green guard source?
It's started turning up again in the last few years... So someone must have found a source other than the now closed Italian manufacturer. I'm guessing somewhere in China.
Anyway - Portland Music have been knocking out real nitrate green guards from the real smelly stuff for a few years now. They look spot on and have the correct bevel.
Also, I notice that Fender have reworked the Strat reissue green guards on the '59 model and now have the correct bevel so I'm curious if they are using the real stuff again.
The model year they chose for the Pure Vintage offsets is 1965 - a transition year so they opted for parchment plastic but they are spot on with correct edge bevel. The Ltd Thin Skins done by Wildwood are green though but I'm pretty certain are just the ones off the '62 reissues. They look OK but I'm certain they are just plastic.
I've had several vintage guitars with real green guards and they look so different.
Let us know how you get on.

+1 for Portland Music on eBay. They are made of the real stuff and have the correct features. The prices aren't bad either.
