Will a modern Mustang tremolo fit a 1970's Mustang?

Post by CatharticAudio » Tue Apr 03, 2018 1:31 pm

I have manged to get myself a 72 neck and a 77 body and am in the process of putting everything back together. Fender make a replacement 0035559000 and I am wondering if it will fit a 70's mustang or am I going to have to source the part from ebay?

It will probably fit but if you're not going to float it, probably best to get a faction hardtail plate.

Actually you can probably get a vintage stang vibrato for not much more than a brand new fender branded unit.
